The Vision of the Future

As I thought the youngster has a vision for the future.  He really is enjoying being given virtually free rein on my garden. I really don’t mind as he is making it incredibly beautiful.  His experiments are my gain. I really could not hire a horticulturalist to do a better job. I think he is testing the water so to speak by tackling me bit by bit. Overall at the back of his mind I am pretty sure he has worked the whole garden out. I told him though leave my vegetables alone.  He suggested we surround the vegetable area with a hedge of herbs, which sounded rather nice. So although I said leave it alone that’s what we are going to tackle next.

We, however, are going to go to business today with another of Simon’s themes.

Simon Rinkus has a very good eye for design and style as well

deVision is a vision for the future if you are thinking of doing a new theme for your WordPress website. It comes in 4 color ways being green, red, grey and blue. You can also enable your visitor to choose the color they would like to see.

When you log into the site you can see a slider displaying either your content of your photographs or a video. You do have the facility of turning this off if you so wish. It does make a nice splash when you enter and movement always catches the eye. You can fade the image or make the scroll either vertically or horizontally. There is an incredible amount of options for you to use with the slider. Your slider function can be enabled to link to images or videos, or you can have it available to show your posts.

Your home page is fully customizable with all your info such as you logo and your slogan. These will be able to be tagged, and you can place a description of your products as well as your company in this section.

The home page can have widgets. You can even put them in a customized box in the Featured area. Should you want a list of pages, you will find that is simple. Buttons are available to use short code.  Recent posts will also feature in this area.

And of course as always with Simons work, Thumbnails are part and parcel of the theme. These can be set as small, medium or large. The shape of the thumbnail does alter with the different choices. He has made a ribbon which can be customized to go with the images. A rather neat idea if you want to add a name to each image. This theme also has support for an advanced widget area. A variety of options are available for you to incorporate these. There is a huge range of widgets to choose from and the advanced range is worthy of a good look. Sections of widget areas will only display static pages.

Well, folks that’s all for today. I am off to buy some herbs for a hedge.

I am impressed, Very rarely do I discover a blog that is both educative and entertaining. Your thoughts are important; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to it.
