Word Press Plug-ins with Merit

Anyone who works with WordPress as their platform usually uses some particular plug-ins in their theme. As it is one of the most popular platforms around, you will probably find there are upwards of 10 or more plug-ins for each website using WordPress. That’s a whole lot of plug-ins.

Plug-ins are one of the very best ways of extending the basic platform and depend normally on the use to which you are going to put it. This plug-in will either tell you in the dashboard or send you an e-mail to report it.

Another useful plug-in is Cform11. This plug-in gives you the ability to use contact forms, which are Ajax based. One always needs a way of getting in contact with people and this is a great way of doing it. This has been recently updated, and if you are using it already it’s a good idea to upgrade it now.

If you don’t want to have the problem of checking for WordPress upgrades, there is a plug-in that checks automatically as to whether there are upgrades available. This plug-in also does automatic backups.

One plug-in that it is essential to have is your Wp_PageNavi. This organises and gets all your pages linked for easy navigation and is by far the most advanced way of navigating your blog site pages. If you don’t use any other plug-in you cannot leave this one alone.

One thing one always needs to do, and that is you need to do regular backups of your website. Although if you have good security on your website you shouldn’t have a problem being hacked or having a virus inserted in your site it is good to maintain a regular regime of doing backups of your entire website at least once a week. One of the plug-ins you can use for this is WP-DB_Backup. This not only allows you to backup your core database but the other sections of your website as well.
